Nudii — a private, on-device AI virtual pet: raise a little sea creature you actually talk to (iOS)
Hey Solo dev here, sharing my first public beta.
**What it is:** Nudii is a virtual pet — a little sea creature (a nudibranch) you hatch, care for, and grow Tamagotchi-style. The twist: it has a real personality you can chat with, and it remembers you over time. The AI brain runs 100% on-device (Powered by Gemma4), so it works offline and nothing leaves your phone — no account, no servers, no tracking.
**Features:**
- Hatch and raise your creature through life stages — feed, clean, play, sleep.
- Chat with it: on-device AI, persistent memory, its own personality.
- Decorate your own reef and collect different sea species.
- Rewards you for moving (HealthKit steps/workouts).
- Fully private: on-device model, no sign-up, no data collection.
**What I'd love you to test:**
- Onboarding / hatch flow — is it smooth?
- The chat — quality, latency, and whether the memory feels real.
- Performance — battery and thermals on longer chats (it's a real LLM running locally).
- Anything that crashes or feels off.
**Requirements:** iPhone with A17 Pro or newer (8 GB RAM floor for the model), iOS 26+. Free to download; a few optional in-app purchases exist but are free to try in the TestFlight sandbox.
