Why do Mexican-Americans root for Mexico over the US?

I was watching a video about this.

Someone said, "Culture cannot be bought, that's why"
Another person commented: "Oh hell no, red, white, and blue first"

The thing is, we've been missing the nuances of being dual citizens. It's not really about picking one over the other.

But I'm curious. Do you root for Mexico over the US?

Is it worth it to get dual citizenship with a LATAM country?

Yes, extra citizenship is like insurance. There’s always the risk of paying for “nothing” or the ONLY plan B that you have.

The difference is that even if you don’t end up living in the country, you'll enjoy a few benefits.

In Mexico, for example, you get to enjoy free healthcare on your travels, access to a different education system, and invest in real estate as a national.

Would you get dual citizenship with a LATAM country? Why?

Mexican Citizenship for Children

Hi! My husband (born in US) is working on getting his Mexican Citizenship through his mom (born in Mexico, Mexican citizen). I'm due with our first child in July and we're thinking we won't be able to get all of the paperwork done before that. Can our children still get dual citizenship even if my husband isn't a Mexican citizen at the time of their birth?

3 "mights" you need to be ready for during your Mexican dual citizenship process

1. Yoy might need to search for your relative's birth certificate

This is no big deal; you just need to have a death certificate, a baptism certificate, or an old ID to start the search.

After this, you can purchase the birth certificate and apply for dual citizenship.

2. You might need to fix your birth certificate, which can take up to 6 months in some states

People sometimes feel discouraged for this reason, but it's genuinely the best way to go about your case.

If you are planning on passing on citizenship to your family members, it's best to keep everything matching across documents.

3. Your case can take more than 6 weeks if the Mexican government delays the process for a few days due to holidays, strikes, etc.

Does not happen very often, but it's important to understand that it is a possibility

No, it's not enough.

But it's okay, you can still get your Mexican citizenship.

What is the document that makes you eligible? Easy, mom or dad's Mexican birth certificate. That's all you need.

If they have passed away, you can start a search of their birth certificate with the death certificate. You can do it yourself in Mexico or hire someone to do it for you.

First, make sure you search here to confirm if the search is necessary: https://www.gob.mx/curp/

If they are on that database, then you can just purchase a digital certified copy.
