“When would I ever need an orange peeler‽‽” You never know when you’ll need to pop the lid off an acid vial to disarm a device.

Tested out several models including my childhood Spartan for *years,* a Mountaineer, and briefly a Super Tinker. These three seem to cover everything I need outside of the woods.
Deluxe Tinker in my watch pocket, Troubleshooter deep in the pocket just-in-case during projects, and Champ on standby for when a wide variety of needs arise during said project. Did exactly that today and it worked out like a Champ.
The perfect toolset for me. Metal saw/file, scissors, pliers, and a Phillips on the back. Plus the hook. Also has a chisel. Five layers, not too large.
MacGyver might prefer simple SAKs, but he would’ve made great use of this model.
The watch pocket is perfect for a 4-layer SAK, but getting my fingers in there to pull it out was annoying. Necessity is the mother of invention; complicated solutions are the crazy drunk uncle.
The character preferred simple knives, mostly the Spartan, Tinker, Standard, and Picnicker. 114 episodes featured one, 42 did not.
