I used to go to Resurrection on Talcott because I was seeing a specialist there. She and two or three other specialists left the practice after Resurrection got bought by Prime Healthcare. It made me wonder if the purchase resulted in increased workload/decreased pay for employees.

Anyone have any inside info on how it is for staff since the purchase happened? Anyone been a patient before and after and has a perspective on how things have changed? Wondering if it's new and improved or if I should steer clear.

Just went to LA Fashion Mart on the NW side of the city. It's a mom and pop kinda place that mostly does dresses for proms/quinsiañeras - I was looking for a dress I could wear at my wedding reception. They have a small bridal section; maybe like 10 dresses or so that would fit the bill.

I didn't end up finding a dress that worked for me, but I was really impressed with their customer service and affordability. You wouldn't get individualized service in the way you would at a bridal boutique, but if you're on a shoestring budget it's worth trying out. Plus, they do alterations!

How much did you pay for hair and makeup? Starting to look for my wedding in the fall and I have NO idea what the norm is nowadays in the Chicago area.

Looking for recommendations for bridal hair/makeup in the Chicago area. Got my first quote back and it was $1500 for just me and my mom 🫠 Is that normal nowadays? Who do you recommend for someone that is great but reasonably priced?
