Got the Kate bug

I’d been a casual listener for years before Stranger Things, but mostly just listened to singles. The Wuthering Heights remake pissed me off by not having Kate’s song featured anywhere, and that led to an INTENSE binge. I’ve literally been listening to nothing but her entire catalogue since March, with no signs of stopping. Do any of you long-time fans just hop between albums for extended periods, with no other artists? Is this normal for a newbie or what falling in love feels like? Nothing compares, or even comes close. Also, there is a song of hers for almost every post on r/SongsThatFeelLikeThis. Let’s flood it.

Pissing people off, for better or worse

Tell me about a time when you pissed people off by doing your job well, in your opinion, for the benefit of the student/client/patient, and how it turned out. I did it at the beginning of my career by reminding a student to get his communication device out in “her classroom,” which did not go over well. I bluntly told her that the student didn’t need her permission for an accommodation. Teachers can be so territorial and threatened. I stood my ground, remained professional the rest of the year while she was snide, and it turned out okay. She requested me as her room’s SLP in a later year, but I declined. I’ve also clashed over refusing to remove words from devices. I know there are way juicier stories out there.
