This bear ran out in front of our car as we were driving back to Lamar Valley from the North-East entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Thankfully, we were paying attention, going a little slower than the posted speed limit, and had no cars behind us.
We live in Rancho Cucamonga about two miles from the San Gabrial Mtns. Merlin wasn't able to identify this bird from the image and iNaturalist says it could be an American Redstart. I'm leaning in that direction, but I don't have much experiance with them. I've only photographed the adult males.

This Thrush stopped for thirty seconds on Friday afternoon. I wasn't able to get any high-quality photos with the real camera. The short clip from our stationary video camera is all that we have.
We see plenty of Hermit Thrushes in the winter months. This bird looks a little bigger.
