Did they tinker with the mix for TBODL Special Edition?

So I have been listening to the Special Edition today, and on multiple tracks, I noticed things I SWEAR are different from the original release. I’m hearing little bits and pieces I didn’t hear before and it just overall sounds fuller, warmer, and more clear in a lot of ways. But it’s quite subtle at the same time.

I am listening on Apple Music with Dolby Atmos and did so for the release as well.

I’m likely just insane lmao but curious if anyone else noticed any kind of difference??? I haven’t done a back to back comparison so forgive me lol

Dungeon Lane on Vinyl - The superior format?

I dunno if it's just me, but after spinning my vinyl copy of TBODL a few times now, it sounds noticeably more dynamic than the digital version. The chest-thumping chorus of As You Lie There sounds more full, backing vocals stronger on Lost Horizon, and Days We Left Behind feels just more organic. Everything just sounds crisper, like there's less compression or something.

Idk. Though I am a vinyl collector, I'm the first to admit there's usually little actual benefit to it over digital aside from the physical media aspect, but my ears enjoy TBODL on vinyl much more than digitally. Just curious if anyone else had a similar experience?
