questions about healpool

hi, i'm a healpool main but there are some things pertaining to his ult that i'm still curious about! im a lord dp with about 25 hours on healpool, so i wouldn't say i'm a terrible healpool player, but i also just started playing rivals last month so forgive me if i'm asking ab things that have an obvious answer

  1. should i be holding my ult for countering ?? ik some people say to use his ult often since he gets it so quickly; i'm not the kind of person to instantly pop the ult everytime i get it, but if i have it and i see the entire other enemy team coming up on us and dealing damage, i will use it
  2. if my team is on point and we have the objective, should i or should i not be ulting if the enemy team is trying to push?
  3. when i ult, should i be using dpiya at the same time in order to get better healing + the damage boost? i rarely use dpiya together with my ult (unless my whole team is about to die) because i don't want to use up all my cooldowns at once.

for context my friend literally hates playing with me because i love playing healpool and she hates him, but this morning she sent a message saying that last night she played comp w a healpool that held his ult for counters and that healpool actually played fine and it felt kinda mean/backhanded a bit but it got me thinking about it

i'm mainly asking these questions bec i was under the impression that healpool's sword ult is more of an ult used to push, but i might be wrong. im aware that his ult can be used to counter other characters, like as in using his gun ult, but that's mostly situational; and also, i thought that since healpool's sword ult healing isn't as good as other supp ult's healing, it isn't the greatest choice to be using it for countering other supp ults?

sorry for the rambling.

beat my previous healing record on healpool !!

I beat my previous healing record of 43k, and I was lowk super excited but tbf it was a 28 minute match and we barely won with 7-6.. :') and also this is silver.. but still, healpool is so so much fun to play, don't think I'm ever gonna get tired of playing him. Props to the enemy team cnd, that's the first time I've seen six-figure healing in-game.

(excuse my terrible accuracy omfg, I have the worst aim and I only started playing rivals a couple weeks ago but I've realized I need to practice 😭😭)
