Clowny

I finished the 3rd of my 5 girls I started and then abandoned in 2023 😵‍💫 I paint a lot of clowns for my regular job, so I had this faceplate in my studio for a few years, I decided to finish/put her together this morning. I’m calling her Clowny.

Cloud

I’m jamming away this weekend finishing the paint on the 3 epoxy face girls I started in 2023 BEFORE I start something new. I’m forcing myself to finish what I started, and I started (then abandoned) quite a few.
Cloud isn’t perfect. I trashed 4 bodies trying to make it blue. I tried dyeing 2 of them and I tried painting 2 of them (I’ll never do it again lol) and I settled on the brush painted one. It’s not the most durable paint job but I figure I’m not gifting it to a child so it really doesn’t matter.

Little devil

With her horns cut, from 2024. Another epoxy face girl. As fun as these were I think I’m gonna take a break from adding clay to things 😵‍💫

Little vampire

Here’s another of my epoxy clay face girls. Sculpting her little teeth was way harder than I anticipated, but I really enjoyed carving out her eye shape.
I made this little dollhouse room to take pictures of the dolls I sculpt, and I think she looked best in it. I named her No.4 because she was my 4th epoxy sculpt.

No.2

Here’s another of my unsold girls. She was an experiment with epoxy clay as well. I toyed with the idea of making a girl gang series. I named her No.2 because she was my second clay face girl.

Spare parts girl

I’m new to Reddit and figured I would throw my hat in the ring.

I started customizing Blythe in 2012 after a surgery had me housebound for several months. I’ve since developed a chronic illness, and when I’m housebound I like to customize dolls. I’m a professional oil painter, but Blythe is my joyful hobby.

I had a bunch of faceplates that I experimented on with epoxy clay, eye mechs, and some time on my hands last week so I painted and put her together.

I don’t have a name for her, I’ve been calling her spare parts girl.
