The market for 2014-15 R8 V8 DCT is incredibly frustrating. No one actually wants to sell a car. Prices are artificially inflated.

In my research, there are around 30 of these cars in decent shape for sale out there. Half of which are fairly well sorted and maintained cars with reasonable miles. The other half are 60-70k+ miles with no history of A/C service, magrides replced with cheap coilovers, various levels of modifications including straight pipe exhausts and cheap mismatched tires.

The one thing these cars have in common, is they ALL are asking ~$70k to ~$80k, while also sitting for literally MONTHS without selling. Some have even increased their prices while sitting for months without being sold. They reference "the market for these is high", but none of these cars are actually selling.

Make it make sense? I'm a real buyer, ready to pull the trigger on a nicely sorted car, but the general mentality out there seems to be "I know what I have, price is firm"...and yet these cars are sitting. These owners would rather sit and wait for 6-12+ months for 75k than take 68k tomorrow because...ego? I don't get it.

Real owners of these cars, please tell me what you're thinking.
