First Gen door handle broke

Anyone have this happen? Repairable plastic part or just buy a new one.

Overheating clutch warning, backing out of very mellow driveway - 2012 V10 R-Tronic

Any tips on what I should do with this? I just got this warning for the first time. My driveway is tight so I do it slow, but the incline is very mellow. Do I need to just gun it out the driveway or start backing in to my garage?

Audi R8 Understated supercar presence 5.2-litre V10. No gimmicks.

Spotted this Audi R8 recently and thought it was worth sharing.

The satin/matte black finish works really well with the shape, and the added aero gives it a much more aggressive feel without completely losing the clean R8 lines.

The front splitter and canards, fixed rear wing, deeper diffuser and carbon details all make it look more track-focused, but still quite restrained.

The details are what made it interesting: big drilled brakes behind the multi-spoke wheels, Michelin tyre lettering, rear mesh vents, and that visible V10 with the red cross brace under the glass.

That is probably what I like most about the R8. Even modified, it can still feel fairly understated compared with many supercars — but there is clearly serious hardware underneath.

The rear three-quarter angle is definitely its best view.

Speed bumps, steep driveways, etc.

My RS5 is on air, so I can get over pretty much anything. I know the R8 folks commonly swap out the magride for BC’s, but how are ya’ll navigating treacherous terrain otherwise? I don’t think the R8’s came with a front end lift if I recall. The R8 will be my next car, I’m just used to being able to adjust the suspension on the fly. Pic attached so ya’ll can see what the poor drive 😂

Cheers and Happy 4th!

New future owner / questions

Hi dear fellas !

I’m building my next project which will be in replacement of what I have today :

- M4 Comp from 2021

I’m looking at the Iron Man / Tony Stark dream car which is the R8 :

- it will be my daily

So I have a few questions for the owners :
- how’s this car as a daily ? I’m mainly doing 15km/day 3 times a week to work and sometimes I’m doing 300+300km to see my family a few times a year basically below 10k/year

- I love the car play but apparently it’s not possible in the R8, is it true ?

- from an engine / exhaust perspective : which one would you recommend ? The 2016 ones or the 2019 ones ?

Thanks a lot, it will mainly be for 1 year as a pleasure

How did you know when you could afford an R8?

At what point did you realize you finally made enough, realistically. Not talking about those that are making 40-50k+ a month. But those that built a career, a business, etc.

Currently in my 20s, in tech doing network engineer, and have a good trajectory on career. Make decent money, but I feel like I invest too much, and I like to treat my family out to dinners and meals often. I just don't know when I feel like I can afford it. I felt the same way with my current car, not knowing when I could afford it, 2020 supra, and now that I have it, I have been doing well paying for it, maintenance and all the car parts.

R8 is my REAL dream car, and with seeing what the next gen would be, I need to get a gen 2.

Thanks in advance, would love to hear everyone's responses.
