My A/C compressor in my 2010 V10 seized up and tried to destroy itself. I replaced it in my garage at home myself for under $1,000. Dealer quoted $7,500.
Watched videos, studied the shop manual like it was a final, collected parts and tools and tackled it on my own. It was very messy, and I knew it would be, but I would do it again, and probably much faster next time. Acquired a/c manifold gauges and vacuum pump along the way.

2014 V8 S-Tronic
All my money spent on servicing and brakes so far. May splash out on a new exhaust though, Topgear F1 is the leader so far.
