he also said im fuckin up the value and any potential appreciation but tbh idc, i didn’t buy the car to save money. i don’t care about resale value or making money on the car i just wanna enjoy it 🤷🏻♂️
i kept seeing people (including myself) questioning what ammo is the best to run through an XC. i was told it wouldn’t run 115g when i bought it. i saw people saying to use 124g, some said that police departments use 147g. so i bought a few boxes of each. unfortunately i wasnt able to get the same brand for all 3 but i think this was still a sufficient test.
i found that 115g shoots the softest and most accurate. 124g is a little more snappy and 147g is even more snappy. seems pretty obvious but now i have confirmation so, with that being said im going to be running 115g from now on.
holster wear, wear of the DLC coating on the barrel, wear on the backstrap and safety, medallion paint worn off, random scratch on the grip. she’s seen thousands of rounds and been my EDC for years. i love this gun!
Found a local shop I’m considering for some work on my currently stock XC. I’m looking at:
Top inline porting
Marvel disconnector cut
EGW ignition kit
Red Dirt flat trigger
The goal is basically to make the XC as fast, flat, and soft-shooting as possible while keeping it reliable.
Anyone here running a similar setup? Anything on that list you’d skip, or anything else worth doing while it’s apart? The only other thing I’ve considered is an Atlas Black Alpha grip kit.
This is my first time having significant work done to a 2011, so I’m trying to do my homework before I start permanently modifying an already-expensive gun. Would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone down this road with an XC.

this was a cool rally. we had a police escort to shut down intersections, on/off ramps and side streets ahead of us which allowed us to cruise through as a group. love the car community here in DFW
