Has anyone legally changed their LLC/business name while having active contracts?

Hello everyone,

I would like to actually change the legal name of the existing janitorial LLC while keeping the same business/entity, ownership, EIN, history, etc.

The reason I want to do the full name change is because I also want everything to eventually match the new name:

Google Business Profile
Website/domain
Business bank account
Invoices
Payroll
Insurance/COIs
W-9
Vendor accounts
Bid/procurement registrations
Future contracts

My biggest concern are my current active commercial contracts.

For anyone who has gone through a legal business name change while already under contract:
What happened to your existing contracts?

Did you have to:
Amend or re-sign the contracts?
Get a simple name-change acknowledgment from the customer?
Just provide the customer with the state name-change documents and an updated W-9/COI?
Go through vendor onboarding again?
Update your bank account and payment information?
Notify the IRS separately?

I definitely do not want to create a brand-new LLC or get a new EIN. I want to keep the existing company and simply legally change its name.
I’d especially appreciate hearing from business owners who have personally done this and what the transition looked like with existing customers/contracts.

Also, if there’s anything you wish you had done before filing the name change, I’d love to hear it.

2017 Porsche Macan – Starts Immediately Then Dies After 1 Second | Multiple CAN/PSM/AWD Faults

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for help diagnosing a strange issue on my 2017 Porsche Macan.
Symptoms
The vehicle cranks normally and starts immediately, but shuts itself off after approximately 1 second every time.
Before the no-start condition became permanent, I would occasionally get random warning messages while driving, especially when there were 2–3 passengers sitting in the rear seats.
The warnings included:
PSM Failure

AWD Fault – Only Rear-Wheel Drive

Parking Brake Fault

Possible Gearbox Fault

Brake Fluid Fault

ABS/Traction Control Warnings

The vehicle was still drivable when those warnings appeared.
Things That Have NOT Happened
No dead battery before this issue started

No jump starts before the issue started

No flooding or heavy rain exposure

No known water intrusion in passenger footwell

No recent repairs or modifications

Battery Information
Battery voltage measured through diagnostic tool:
Current voltage: approximately 12.98V

Maximum recorded: 13.09V

Minimum recorded during testing: 8.72V

I also connected jumper cables from another running vehicle (BMW) and let it sit for more than 10 minutes. The Macan still starts and immediately shuts off.
Diagnostic Scan Results
Main fault codes found:
C12002 – No communication with DME (Engine Electronics)

C12004 – No communication with PDK / Transmission Electronics

C12006 – No communication with Airbag Control Unit

C12085 – Check PSM Control Unit Fault Memory

C1209D – Check Gateway Control Unit Fault Memory

A008 – Warning: PSM Failure

A150 – Warning: Parking Brake

Gateway module also reports:
C20000 – Communication with CAN Drive (sporadic/passive)

My Observations
What makes this interesting is that the random warnings would sometimes appear when passengers were sitting in the rear seats.
That has me wondering if there may be:
A wiring harness issue under the rear seats

A loose ground connection

A CAN bus wiring problem

A gateway module problem

A connector issue that is affected by body flex or weight

Questions
Has anyone seen a Macan start normally and then immediately shut off because of a CAN/Gateway communication issue?

Are there known ground locations, CAN connectors, or harnesses under the rear seats that commonly fail?

Could a failing gateway module cause loss of communication with DME, PDK, Airbag, PSM, AWD, and Parking Brake systems simultaneously?

What would be the next diagnostic step you would recommend before replacing parts?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
