My current garage
Had different iterations of this garage, but pretty pleased with my current stable. Still some cars outside.

I sold my 2024 992.1 gt3 touring in early 2025 after getting a ridiculous offer. I was able to get a pts .2 slot In April of 2025 and it’s been delayed seven times since then.
Finally got photos of it wrapping up as it heads this way for a September arrival!
Yachting Blue Metallic with silver wheels and black calipers. Wanted an understated look.
Just finished a 3-week, 2,500-mile road trip with my son in my 2023 Taycan Cross Turismo 4S. I'd never taken it on a proper long-distance adventure before, but the car performed flawlessly. Special thanks to Peachstate PCA for being so welcoming to the only EV among some fantastic ICE Porsches.
My son and I had an amazing time, and I'm incredibly grateful for the chance to share experiences like these together. He returned home with a newfound appreciation for Porsches and spirited driving.
Trip highlights:
- Survived 650 miles (Florida to North Carolina) on I-75 through some truly insane weather, while sacrificing a piece of plastic trim to the highway gods.
- Backpacked 50 miles of the Appalachian Trail, leaving the car at a trailhead for a week and hoping for the best.
- Met up with my best friend and his 911 Turbo for an unforgettable drive through Lookout Mountain, GA / TN with Peachstate PCA.
- Tackled the Tail of the Dragon on the way to dropping my son off at summer camp.
- Spent a week mountain biking around Chattanooga, where the local Porsche dealership rushed a replacement trim piece so the car wouldn't look quite so janky when I picked my son up.
Hard to believe I've had this beauty for a full year. We had absolutely perfect weather this weekend, so my buddy and I took it out to a few different spots around the Netherlands to get some proper shots.
He completely nailed the lighting and captured the exact essence of the car. This was always a dream car of mine growing up, and these photos do it perfect justice. Hope you enjoy the pics!
Don't shoot the messenger. I do know many of your traditional brands have had issue issues with a few models which could drag a brand down. Subtracting Toyotas trucks and Honda's CRV Hybrid I bet would have their rankings improve. Not sure if I buy Ford 3rd, in fact the week this was released Ford issued another recall.
It was great seeing these three in person despite the excessive heat warnings in NYC this weekend.
Took delivery of my new (to me) 718 Spyder last week and this car is incredible! Bought it sight unseen and never drove anything like it before. I couldn’t hold back a dumbass grin on my face when I did my first cold start and drive around the neighborhood. Been driving it everyday since then.
Long story short, a couple months ago I started research to buy a preowned 981 Boxster S. This was a car I wanted to get about 10 years ago, but was too far out of my budget at the time. Then convinced myself I should get a 718 Boxster instead, then a 718 Boxster S, then a 718 Boxster GTS, then a 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, and then ultimately a 718 Spyder. I guess I got carried away telling myself “well it’s only 10-15K more for the next trim level”. Once I made up my mind, I got lucky and a spec popped up that was almost exactly how I would have configured it myself. After a few weeks of negotiating, the dealership shipped it over.
Only have one complaint which is the sound from 1500 to 4000 rpm, even with PSE on. People commonly post about it, but I didn’t think it would be that underwhelming. Below 1500 and over 4000 rpm, the car sounds exactly as it should. A valve controller and OAPs are on the way to hopefully make that right.
Aside from the sound, everything else about it is great. I'm looking forward to Porsche meetups and eventually hitting the track. If anyone has any tips or advice about maintenance and upgrades, please feel free to share. I never thought I’d own a car like this and still can’t believe I own it as my new daily. When I was doing research, I came across a 718 Spyder review on Business Insider that said “This is a car that you dream about after the driving is done, then dream anew when the driving resumes, and before you know it, the driving and dreaming are the same thing.” Pretty spot on.
Stopped at the park during my morning drive and took a few photos.
My wife purchased a 2023 Taycan in January of this year and has already had to replace the windshield twice. Thankfully, we purchased the glass protection plan which has paid off in spades. But I believe we have maxed out that coverage and further replacements will our responsibility. Would it make sense to get WPF? It runs around $700 USD while a full windshield replacement runs in excess of $3000 USD.
Hi all,
I’m hoping someone has come across this before.
I have a 2011 Porsche Cayenne 958 3.0 TDI V6 (245bhp) with around 127,000 miles.
The car drives perfectly most of the time, but if I floor it, for example accelerating hard onto a motorway slip road or overtaking, it will suddenly go into Reduced Engine Power and the coil/glow plug warning light comes on. The engine is then limited to around 2,000 rpm.
If I stop, switch the ignition off and restart it, the car drives perfectly again until I give it full throttle.
Other symptoms:
Slight hesitation/judder when crawling in traffic at low speed.
Occasionally the 2nd to 3rd gear change feels a little odd, but all other gear changes are fine.
No noticeable black or white smoke.
Starts first time every time.
No rough idle.
MAF unplugged gives the expected engine warning, but the full-throttle limp mode still seems to be a separate issue.
Generic OBD scanner isn’t showing an obvious engine fault that explains the limp mode.
So far I’ve been thinking along the lines of:
Boost leak.
Turbo outlet hose.
Intercooler hose or O-ring.
Turbo actuator/vacuum issue.
MAP sensor.
Has anyone had these exact symptoms on a 958 3.0 TDI? If so, what was the actual fix?
I’d really appreciate any advice before I start replacing parts.
Thanks in advance!
