MT allocated, spec built. Can’t wait.

Aventurine, Club Basalt, Buckets, Racetex, FAL, Sport Chrono, Aerokit. Likely will move the ducktail from my 992.2 to this, and sell the wing. I love my 992.2 but between getting MT and being able to spec it myself, I know this will the long term keeper.

Another Spontaneous Drive in the Cab

Sunday evening, top down, took my teenage son and his girlfriend for ice cream by the beach. One of the biggest priorities I had for the entirely frivolous and superfluous fun car was that it would create space for togetherness with friends and family. As much as I love a coupe and a targa, the full open top cab experience is special and in a class of its own for times like this.

Have a great week y’all!

New to me 1983 911SC Cab

Right time right place right circumstances and this low mile (67k) beauty is now tucked next to the 992.2.

Already swapped the polished Fuchs for a practically NOS set of black OEM Fuchs that the original owner of another 83 removed within a few weeks of purchase, never used until now. Incoming from pelican are euro spec headlights with black trim rings, Porsche classic momo steering wheel, JWest Rennshift performance shifter w 2” extension, Blaupunkt Bremen, and a few other knick knacks. Figuring out a tasteful and balanced stance that’s going to be a combination of spacers and adjustments to suspension.

As a child of the 80’s, this is scratching an itch the 992 just doesn’t. It’s also proof in the pudding that it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.

Happy to answer any questions about the background of the car, mechanical condition, service / repair history, etc.

V3. I think I’m “done”

Usually post this shit in home gym subs but thought you dogs might enjoy it.

You can check out older posts for previous iterations. Biggest change here is ditching the shelving I built 6 years ago, repairing the wall (my son used to practice his slapshot in here 🤦), painting it black, pushing the rack supporting lever arms back, relocating the DB’s, swapping out the 40” corner mount TV for a 65” wall mount above DB’s, picking up this Craftsman mobile tool chest / workbench, and installing the ceiling fan.

The idea of a “garage” is fading a bit lol, but it’s still very functional.

Airflow

Put a ceiling fan up in the garage today. For those who don’t know, you can easily use a $2 plug converter to add a plug to direct wire stuff (like most ceiling fans). It doesn’t cool it off, but it’s definitely a comfortable value add.

992.2: weird ECU noises. Not even sure how to describe it.

Heading out of town for a week, so I’m dropping it off at the dealership tomorrow. But curious if anybody has ever seen anything like this? Honestly, don’t even know how to describe it or Google it. It’s sporadic, and usually before a cold start. Sound up lol.

Garage (actually still functional!) Gym 3.0

I’ve had a few prior posts about setup. This one is pretty much the end game (check back in 3 months to see if I’m being honest—probably not).

Interior center trim upgrade options?

For the life of me I will never understand gloss black trim. It’s just a magnet for dust and prints, especially since it’s in one of most frequently touched areas of the interior. But I digress.

Anyway—would love recommendations! Honestly wish it came in the same finish as my dash trim, which is sort of like a nice knurl on a barbell. And it doesn’t show dust or prints or anything.

DB Carbon seems like the best option for CF trim. Not really what I want to do but it might be my best option since this is ultimately more about function than aesthetics anyway. I know the CF will look good.

Would love any recommendations, links, photos, etc.

Thanks!

992 spoiler mod options: ducktail, aerokit, or just keep it stock? All opinions welcomed!!

I’m seriously considering changing out my stock spoiler on my 992.2 CS to a fixed option. Initially, I preferred the aerokit, but I’m heavily leaning towards the Mohammer EVO II or III (the difference being the inclusion or deletion of the stock third brake light). Obviously, an expensive mod ($4-5k for part alone plus install, paint, and coding to fixed spoiler), but one that I think drastically changes (improves?) the profile.

Anyway, all opinions and thoughts welcomed!!

Will this car be compliant in CA?

I’m looking at buying a 1981 Chevy C/K 10 restomod from out of state. My understanding is the motor was swapped from another vehicle, but is still a Chevy stock motor (454 CI V8).

I don’t care about spending a few K if necessary to make the truck SMOG compliant if needed (it has straight pipes currently), but I want to know what I’m getting into. I just want to make sure I’m not buying something that I won’t be able to operate lawfully in CA.

Got the bug last night and made it so I can park straight on the small garage door side. So stoked.

I posted yesterday about buying my first 911 and boy am I excited to be part of this welcoming and enthusiastic community. Y’all showed so much support and encouragement and genuinely shared in celebrating this huge accomplishment and milestone. Thank you!!

You may have noticed my diagonal parking in the garage in my pics. Lots of you noticed the gym 💪 🏋️‍♀️ The goal was always to tinker so I could park straight in the small side of the garage. Realized I could just remove my built in cabinets (lowers only) and workbench. Not ideal to remove storage but honestly it had become fairly disorganized in those cabinets and drawers and I have plenty of other space to relocate some tools and knick knacks.

911 parked in the garage and home gym fully functional at the same time?! Fucking pinch me. Very much having one of those talking heads moments.

🎶 And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile; And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife; And you may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get here?" 🎶

🙏 🤲

My First 911, a lifelong goal achieved.

*Edit* this post blew up and the support and enthusiasm is so real, thank you! Such a testament to the force that the 911 has inspired for generations!! So happy to be part of this community.

Lifelong dream / goal accomplished on Saturday, when I drove off the lot with this loaded 2025 992.2 S with 7k miles. That feeling of driving it off the lot for the first time—“this is actually mine”—never felt anything like it. This is a huge accomplishment for me and a reflection of some painful circumstances and personal growth that I’m not getting into now. But every single time I look at this car, it reminds me where I’ve been and where I am now.

Looking forward to the miles, the good times, the bad times, and all the laughs and tears in between.

Specs:
2025 911 CS, jet black + cognac, options include rear axle steering, PASM (10mm), extended dashboard / door panel in leather, HD matrix headlights, front lift, heated GT steering wheel, sport chrono, slide/tilt sunroof, etc.

Stoked I’m able to fit it in the garage.

Would love to hear any recommendations, ownership experience, mods, and must have accessories for 992.2! Or just to talk about how cool these damn objects are!!
