How to deal with my car that’s abandoned?
So last week my head gasket conked out in Camberley, Surrey. This is about 2 hours from my home address in Kent. RAC pointed me in the direction of a scrap company called Redcorn and took me to Enterprise so I could hire a car and continue on my holiday.
Redcorn has offered me £150 (whatever, fine) but have said that they will pick it up on Wednesday with a time frame of 7am-5pm. I told them I am far away and they’ve said they will ‘try and give me notice’. They might manage to give an hours notice. Which is no help at all.
I’m pregnant, and even if I wasn’t I wouldn’t be up for travelling a total of 4 hours to wait in the heat for an additional possible 10 hours.
Anyone have any helpful suggestions as to how I might find another way to deal with this?! Travelling there is a pain but not the end of the world, it’s the crazy wait that I’m not down for!
