K. Michelle - Jack Daniel’s (Official Audio)

Since K. Michelle is set to perform "Jack Daniel's" in one of the remaining episodes of this season of RHOA, I thought I'd share the song for anyone who wants to hear it beforehand.

The track was released last year as a promotional/street single while she was filming for RHOA, tying it into her storyline this season rather than serving as a traditional full single rollout for her upcoming country album. It was released through BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, whose roster includes Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Blanco Brown. K. Michelle is the label's only Black female country artist.

"Jack Daniel's" was written by K. Michelle alongside ERNEST, Jordan Dozzi, and Rocky Block, produced by Kristian Bush and Jeff Balding, and peaked at No. 18 on the iTunes Country Songs chart after release. The song currently has 241K+ Spotify streams and 278K+ combined YouTube views across the official audio, lyric video, and additional audio.

She also performed it live on the main stage at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest in Nashville last year.

Curious to hear how it translates when she performs it on RHOA later this season. What do you think of the song?

Drew Sidora said K. Michelle “hasn’t gone platinum”… but the receipts say otherwise

Drew Sidora at Virtual Reali-Tea

Not trying to turn this into a Drew vs K.Michelle music war, but facts are facts.

In her recent sit-down with Virtual Reali-Tea, Drew Sidora claimed that K. Michelle has never gone platinum. However, that statement is incorrect based on the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

K. Michelle has multiple Billboard No. 1 albums on the Top R&B Albums chart, including Rebellious Soul, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?, and More Issues Than Vogue. All three reached No. 1 on the R&B chart and also placed in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

On the certification side, she has RIAA platinum-certified records, including “Can’t Raise a Man” and “Love ‘Em All,” each of which has surpassed 1 million units sold.

K. Michelle Gold and Platinum Certifications (Continued)

Drew Sidora has no documented entries on the Billboard 200 as a lead artist, nor has she appeared on the Billboard R&B or Independent charts. She also does not have any RIAA gold or platinum certifications.

Even on streaming platforms, Drew Sidora’s most popular song has roughly 2 million streams across all platforms combined.

In comparison, K. Michelle also has multiple songs that each individually surpass that level of streaming across major platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube.

Both are talented, but Drew’s attempt to shade K. Michelle by saying she hasn’t gone platinum doesn’t change what the records actually show. The receipts indicate that K. Michelle has gone platinum, twice.
