I truly hate this job

I’m an attending entering my 5th year out of residency and I don’t know how much longer I can do this. I have a true disdain for the majority of my patients. They are a combination of people with no coping skills, no personal hygiene, no manners and no common sense. No one wants my expert opinion on anything. They come in wanting certain tests or medications and when I tell them why it isn’t indicated I’m yelled at. I can hardly remember what drew me to EM in the first place but it certainly isn’t what I’m doing now

Thinking of investing less and paying off mortgage

I’m sure this topic has been asked before but I’d like to apply it to my personal life. I’m 36, just hit $1M in investments. I have $530k left in mortgage at 5% interest and $230k left in student loans at 2.9% interest. I max out a 403b and 457 every year and do a backdoor Roth for both me and my wife. My current spend is around $100k/yr not including the house or student loans. I like the idea of being debt free but know I’ll make more in the market. Should I pay off my debts now and give myself some breathing room or stay the course?

Tax loss harvesting question

Would it be beneficial to cut my losers and then sell my VOO only to immediately rebuy it so that I can pay nothing on gains and raise my cost basis for VOO which I plan to hold for a long time?
