Teaching Kiddo to Wipe

How on earth are we teaching kids to wipe. My girl just turned 4 before the school year and began prek. Shes so totally capable of going potty on her own as she must at school. But for the love of god she cannot get down the mechanics of wiping #2.

And she’s not shy about the bathroom AT ALL. She will go anywhere whenever she needs to and I love that for her. But having no help wiping is starting to cause issues. But it’s like her arms are just too short, she’s pretty short already.

Poopy underwear and now she tried wiping the wrong way and got irritated up front. I don’t want this to be a constant but I can figure out what to show her.

Any tips?

Generic stories for an interview

I’m so over the interview process. I genuinely don’t feel like they’re anything more than rehearsed script.

“Tell me about a time you made a mistake” “Tell me about a time you didn’t get along with your coworker” “Tell me about a time you improved a process” “Tell me about a time you took control of a situation”

I’m interviewing for a company and my recruiter suggested having 5-6 stories locked and loaded with the STAR method. I need new stories but my brain isn’t feeling rather creative these days.

What are your favorite go to stories?

Gift for someone you don’t know well

Invited to the small birthday party of my husbands friends wife (turning 30). Ladies night vibes.

Admittedly I don’t know her very well. We just moved back to the state and it’s obviously a good will gesture as our husbands are really good friends!

What’s your go to, always liked gift, for someone you don’t know super well?

What are we doing when we HATE the game our kid insists on playing?

My little is almost four.

And I get it, imagination play is HUGE at this stage. And I love it. I’ll order from the restaurant, role play cops and robber, pretend to be butterflies outside I’m here for it.

Recently she’s starting playing baby animals with her friends. They pick and choose animals and run around like them. It’s silly and used to be super cute. Now? She insists on being a puppy constantly and it’s grating on my nerves.

When people talk to her I can see her start to get into character and I have to tell her to stop before she starts barking and growling. She got our dogs leashes and was using them on her stuffies to “walk” but now she’s trying to attach them to herself and demand I take her on a walk and pet her. “No licking” is a regular in house phrase now.

I don’t want to squash her imagination but I genuinely cannot stand this.

She’s VERY smart. I know it’s partially just seeing the world from another perspective and fun. But it also feels weird and degrading.

We use phrases like “puppy Sophie is fun but we need to take a break and be human Sophie” but man I’m stumped.

Anyone deal with something like this before? Should I just suck it up?
