Why do so few sites prompt me for my securey key PIN?

I have a pair of yubikeys that I try to use whenever possible (the main one and the backup). I set both of them up with a PIN for the added security layer, but lately I've been noticing fewer and fewer sites prompting me for the PIN. Like, even sites that used to just ask me to touch the key.

Is this a server-side implementation problem, some sort of caching of the PIN in windows 11 (which would be absurd), or some other mysterious force that seems to be removing that extra security layer? I'd like for everything using the keys to prompt for the pin.

MS-01 12900H Proxmox, Crashing and Very Hot

I'm working on converting a MS-01 12900H mini PC to a proxmox host. I noticed after doing so that the services would hang after a few hours, and that the air coming out of the back of the CPU side of the machine was very hot. This was very odd because there was nothing particularly intensive running on the server.

To narrow things down, I wiped the server and reinstalled a baseline Proxmox VE 9 instance on it. It runs no VMs or LXCs, just the hypervisor OS. This still lead to the same problem. I confirmed this by checking the video output over KVM - No video out, no response, just hot air.

I took apart the cooler and re-pasted the CPU with Arctic MX7, reinstalled a clean Proxmox 9 VE and let it sit again. Same result.

I updated the MS-01 BIOS to 1.27, wiped the drive and reinstalled Proxmox VE 9. Same result.

There is currently nothing plugged into the PCIe expansion slot, and I am only running a single PCIe Gen3 drive in the M.2 area. Nothing should be generating this much heat to cause the system to crash.

Some cursory googling has found some inconclusive speculation that it's a linux kernel or CPU C-state issue. Has anyone else run into similar problems on the MS-01 as a server? Were you able to resolve them, and if so, how?

Strategies or options for HBA external SAS cables in a Mini Rack?

My mini rack is perfectly situated in the corner of my L desk which is in a corner of a room. It's very snug and I love how perfectly it fits.

The one thing that makes me nervous is HBA cables. I have an 8E LSI HBA with the drives mounted below on another shelf. Most HBA cables I've found have been pretty long and very stiff.

Are there any more flexible options? This is such a niche of a niche that I don't expect there to be any, but why not ask.
