What power amp will pair beautifully with my LT for gigs?
Hi y'all. I'm 57 year old gigging metal head out here in Australia. We do pretty good gigs, and the live gear I'm running is usually Ibanez 7 string into LT, sound guy gets XLR out, and I use 1/4' jack that goes into my Carvin TS100 power amp into whatever 4x12 cab is there at the time. I use the big knob on my LT to control the cab volume. I'm not huge on monitors and like to hear an amp from behind kinda deal that I can control the volume to.
We do a few fly in/out gigs..and I want a smaller power amp. I WAS gonna go with the 100 watt Orange Pedal baby (for roughly $800 AUSD brand new)..but I've also heard about the Seymour Duncan Power Stage 170 kicks ass also. I just want something small and loud that'll fit into my backpack. I've had back surgery in the past, that shit is not fun. So the lighter, the better. ish.
PS - Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE the Carvin, and it's not terribly heavy. But I want light, small, loud.
