I am trying to not violate the rules of the sub, but honestly this was a tipping point and I can't stop thinking about it.
I've been fuming about this all day. I don't even have the words to express how sick to my stomach I am after watching the first minute of the Shane Gillis monologue on snl. I stopped after he talked about women looking like whores in the gym. I looked it up later to see if anything got better instead he continued with his so called jokes including staring at women's asses and that it's important not to get caught and calling his sisters fat b**.
This monologue was allowed at the same time that a university in the same state has been revealed to be covering up sexual assault, enabling the assaulters, and otherwise sitting on their hands. Maybe it's not as big as ice or anything else happening in the us. But this makes it seem like the fascists are winning. Letting this person on to a show that is live streamed to a wide audience is unconscionable.
I'm done with snl. I'm done with nbc. Boycott nbc. Demand Lorne Michaels resignation. Boycott snl.
