I’m trying to read elder scrolls\Star Wars crossovers and this giant fic clogs up the search results. The is ordered into 3 series of 20 fics each, the vast majority are one-shots with an inter-connected story, and there’s the occasional fic with 3 chapters.
I can’t even block the fic because it was orphaned
This is mostly aimed at the elder scrolls fandom and how their obsession with Skyrim makes them blind to the overarching lore of the franchise that isn’t mentioned in Skyrim outside of a couple minor bits of easily missed dialogue
A lot of people forget that the world of the elder scrolls franchise is called nirn. the name nirn technically appears in the Skyrim intro, but it’s just a single line of dialogue(you are the salt apon nirn)
Maybe this is just a me thing, but this is generally my experience when I try to read a crossover fic where the author tells you that you only need to know one side of the crossover
It can be pretty annoying searching specific things such as alt-power au’s if a fandom in canon already has a completely different thing sharing the same name
It’s a nightmare to filter out entries in a franchise when you only announce which game\show\book is the source material in the tags
I was interested ,I bookmarked the fic, but because my interests cycle around by the time the fic updates I’m no longer interested in reading it
I think the trope of creature inheritance in the Harry potter fandom has plenty of potential for cool mutations and action/drama, but instead most people just waste it’s potential by basically using it as Harry Potter flavored omegaverse
I love reading fics based off isekai stories because of the potential of cool crossover power interactions, but I would never actually watch the source material for 99% of them because of how the majority feel the obligation to for some reason have a harem
