What impact do you think the WSF sick-out had or will have?
Just curious what people’s thoughts are on the sick-out that happened yesterday. How do you think it will impact MEBA or even other unions?

I just check the COLA adjustment in the last paycheck…let’s just say it’ll buy my family a cheap dinner one night…
I’m not real happy when I compare that to inflation and what COLA should be adjusting against…but maybe that’s me.
Thoughts?
Personally, probably grumble but keep on keeping on…mostly because the alternatives aren’t great.
WFSE has little teeth to get more and the walkout is a show of solidarity but has no impact (as a true strike would). I’m hoping for the best but planning for the worst.

After this week, I’m against them. Feels like you spend more time pleasing and centering activities around children than actually having fun.
We’ve spent the week doing all kid centered stuff. The few breaks I got was because I told them to do whatever without me and I read my book. The one thing I requested was a Chinese dinner night because we live in a town with terrible Chinese restaurants. Nope, kids didn’t want it/too much trouble.
I’m over it and will refuse these moving forward. Politely of course.
But perhaps I’m just tired and cranky.

My wife’s best friend and family is in town so I get to deal with two boys, 4 and 6 y.o.
Wish me luck and sanity.
A 32 hour work week sounds great to me, but clearly this would impact state services and personal lives. So setting aside the state services component for the moment…I’m curious what people would do with a 32 hour work week assuming same pay?
Would you spend more time with family?
Get a second or even third job?
More time side hustling?
Write a book?
Run for office?
