Summer CSC classes at risk of cancellation from low enrollment + possible summer aid
Reposting u/akeen's email blast from earlier today since one of these is a class I’m hoping to take, and this might help anyone else who was still deciding.
Also, note for Summer Quarter financial aid: if you are an in-state student and have an SAI of 2000 or lower, you probably qualify for a summer grant to cover full tuition if you enroll in at least half-time (6 units), plus a summer Pell grant based on the number of units you take. If you register for at least 6 units, watch for an email in 1-2 weeks confirming summer financial aid was posted.

I understand that the shortened summer due to the transition to semesters has raised a variety of complications, not least of which is the desire to enjoy a break before Fall begins in August.
With that, I must share that the following summer courses are at risk of being canceled due to low enrollment. If you were thinking about taking one of the following but had not yet decided, now is a good time to make that decision.
At risk:
CSC 101
CSC 202
CSC 349
CSC 365
CSC 445
CSC 477
Already cancelled:
CSC 307
CSC 410
Change:
CSC 364 must change to the 5-week session with a new instructor
To be added:
CSC 357
Full:
CSC 453 — though the online version appears to be very popular, there is no additional capacity for this summer. There are, however, multiple sections, CSC 4553 on semesters, in Fall and Spring.
