I've been doing some testing with Gwigoon minions and how they could be used for elemental builds.

This is what I have found so far, please let me know if they are wrong or incomplete:

1. The only minions that appear to apply status effects are the "funky ones".
2. They do NOT trigger any perk for status like on-inflict or the bonus damage ones. This includes the on-death lingering pool from the upgrade skill.
3. They also do not appear to inherit your essence value.

That together seems to sharply limit the use of elemental builds for these guys. The minions seem only useful as mostly straight damage.
