Hi! I’m a 20F student in Michigan who recently switched from a Physics major to Accounting. I’ll be starting my first accounting classes this fall and am currently planning to follow a 4+1 degree path. I know a little about accounting already, but I’m worried that switching majors this late might put me behind compared to other students who have been on this track from the beginning.

For those of you who are accountants, accounting students, or familiar with recruiting in Michigan, what advice would you give someone just getting started? Are there any skills, resources, or opportunities you wish you had focused on earlier? I’d appreciate any advice or insight!
