Why do people stop using budgeting apps after 2–3 weeks?

I’ve been thinking about this while working on a personal budgeting project.

A lot of people install budgeting apps with good intentions… but after a few weeks they stop opening them.

I’m curious — for people who’ve used budgeting / expense tracking apps:

  • What made you stop using them?
  • Was it too much manual input?
  • Too many features?
  • Didn’t feel useful day to day?
  • Privacy concerns?
  • Or do you still actively use one?

Also, if you could design your ideal budgeting app from scratch:

What’s the one thing you’d keep and one thing you’d remove?

PWA app that feels like native mobile application

I build a PWA budgeting application that will help users to budget their income and build their financial concrete.
The project is open source and is live at AlloCat

I have leveraged the use of indexed db and a sync engine mechanism to make the PWA acts just like a native mobile app

Should I be concerned about DPDPA 2023 ?

I've been hearing about DPDPA for a while now. I understand it relates to data privacy. As a developer, would having knowledge of DPDPA be a beneficial skill to include in my portfolio? Is this particularly useful for lawyers and CA firms?
