GOT TO GOOD OF A SCORE ON THE ALEKS

Hello. I recently took the aleks placement test. I got a 51 the first time. I then completed all the modules and assignments they gave me in the "prep for pre calculus" course. And then I watched maybe 2 organic chemistry tutor videos on trigonometry and then took the proctored test. And then I somehow managed to get a score of 79. Which placed me into calculus.

Which is great and all. But I havent even taken pre calculus. I hardly know anything about trig and complex natural logs.

Do you have any advice on what I should do? Im already behind in my college journey do to some stupid decisions when I was a little younger. So I dont want to drop the course as this placement allows me to get a semester ahead.

If you were in my situation what would you do?

I thought about just spam watching a bunch of YouTube videos on pre calc to prepare myself but they all seem a little different in the material they consider to be pre calculus. Is there any you personally reccomend?

Or on the other side of the coin, am I just being paranoid? Is calculus 1 really all that hard? Am I gonna be fine just winging it?

Hey everyone, I’m waiting on one final transcript to be posted and sent to UK before my application can be fully reviewed. I’ve already sent all my other transcripts.

When I first started college at 17, I was immature and did really badly at another school. I failed three straight semesters there, which I know looks terrible. After taking time off, I came back to school and have turned things around. Since returning, I’ve completed about 26 credit hours and have only made A’s and B’s, no C’s.

My concern is that I still have around 31 credit hours of failed classes from earlier on, so I’m worried my cumulative GPA may still be too low even though my recent record is strong. I also have letters of recommendation, but I know grades are probably the biggest factor.

Has anyone gotten into UK as a transfer after a really bad start in college but a strong comeback later? I’d appreciate honest feedback, especially if anyone knows how much UK weighs upward trends versus total cumulative GPA.
