This is a detached shelf cloud, a leftover from one of the thunderstorms that just moved around the city (6:53 PM, July 3, 2026). It's fast moving but completely harmless.

Anyone have any better ideas? This is Home Depot stuff. Not a whole lot available to anchor it to inside of the closet.
