Prius won’t start
Hi, I have a 2007 Prius with about 168k miles on it. Yesterday at a stoplight all the diagnostic lights came on including the triangle of death and the car died. It wouldn’t enter ready mode again. I got it pushed off the road and tried to jump it but I’m fairly car illiterate and I was in the 100 degree heat with my kiddo so I was kind of in a rush, so I very well could have not done it right, I wasn’t 100% where to hook up to in a Prius and it was 4th of July so I know the people I asked for help were in a hurry. I got it into diagnostic mode this morning and it does look like the 12 volt battery is reading 11.6 volts, which the internet is making sound like it could be the problem. Is the battery the likely culprit and a new battery should fix the situation? Thanks!
Edit: should also mention I haven’t noticed any other problems, odd sounds or loss performance. It was a surprise despite the age
Edit 2: Thanks for the advice everyone! I’m in a new apartment and just learned there is a advanced auto parts in pushing distance so it sounds like the smart move it get the codes checked there
Edit 3: pushed it to autozone got the battery checked which came back normal and they got no engine codes to show up. I have a mechanic coming to look at it and hopefully I’ll have a better idea that what no codes can give
Edit 4: It was the 12 volt battery, I guess autozone had a pretty garbage reader idk but it’s replaced all the warning lights went away and it’s running normally, thanks for all the advice!
