Why Is There No Joker For Vouchers?
There are Jokers for glass, stone, lucky, steel, and gold cards. There’s a Joker for skipping a blind. There are Jokers for planets. There are Jokers for rerolling. There’s a Joker for seals. There are Jokers for hand sizes and discards. There are Jokers for opening packs (and if you skip the opened pack). There are Jokers for how many cards are in your deck. And there are Jokers to get around a boss.
But there’s not a single joker for Vouchers. Why? Maybe something like “This Joker gains X0.5 Mult for each Voucher purchased”.

Why did it take 11 years for the West to change Princess Toadstool’s name to Princess Peach?
Princess Toadstool first appeared in the West when Super Mario Bros was released in 1985. Her Japanese name was always Princess Peach, but Nintendo of America said Toadstool better represented her in the Mushroom Kingdom. It wasn’t until Super Mario 64 came out in 1996 that her name changed from Princess Toadstool to Princess Peach in the West.
Why did it take 11 years for NOA to realize Princess Peach is a far superior and much more marketable name?

Does Campfire Get The Biggest Buff Of Any Joker On Gold Stake?
There are a couple jokers that benefit from the rental jokers on gold stake, but does campfire get the biggest boost? Campfire scales at + .25x mult per sold card. On gold stake, you could buy 2 rental jokers (non eternal) in the shop for $1 each and sell them back for $1 each to get a free + .5x mult. You can then keep rerolling and repeating the process to quickly boost your campfire essentially just for the price of rerolling. Campfire does reset after each ante, but this can be really useful to get you past a tough ante.

Is Cyber Shadow The GOAT Game You’ve Never Heard Of?
A cyborg ninja action platform game with retro graphics and similar feel to old school mega man games. Released on many systems including the Switch, yet only 85,000 copies were sold. Most reviews are in the 9/10 area. It is an incredible game that isn’t a cake walk, but isn’t impossible, and it doesn’t take 100 hrs to beat (maybe around 15).

Is Half Joker The Best Early Game Joker For Survivability?
All you’re worried about is survival. Is half joker the best joker there is for surviving the early rounds (antes 1 and 2) when you’re not factoring in other jokers? +20 mult is pretty hard to beat. What about Stuntman? Shoot the moon? Others?

Pareidolia Has 2 Different 8’s
Ever notice the artwork on the Pareidolia Joker has 2 different 8’s? The card on the bottom left is the traditional 2-1-2-1-2 pattern on playing cards, but the card on the bottom right is a non traditional 3-2-3 pattern.

Is Stone Joker The Least Used Of Any Joker?
Stone joker requires you to already have at least 1 stone card in your deck to pop up. Even then, it’s hard to find. Additionally, most players don’t play with stone cards in their decks, nor do they pick up Stone joker in the rare instances where it does pop up.
So does that make Stone Joker the least used joker by most players when you factor in rarity and times when you’d actually pick him up to use? I genuinely feel like legendaries are more used than Stone joker.

Is Hiker The Best Chip Scaling Joker?
There are 7 chip scaling jokers - Wee Joker, Square Joker, Runner, Castle, Stone, Bull, and Hiker.
With +5 chips added to each card scored, is Hiker the best? He can add +25 if you play a 5 card hand. +50 in one round if you play 2 5 card hands. He also doesn’t require specific conditions to be used. You don’t need to play 4 cards, or a 2, or a straight. I suppose Castle could be better, but the suit you need doesn’t always line up. Bull can decrease if you lose money. Stone is difficult to make it work.
The chip boosts are also permanent, so if you need to free up a joker slot later, you can sell Hiker and keep your chip increases on all your cards.

Jokers 151-157 Documented
There are 150 jokers in Balatro, but there are many unused jokers that never made it into the game. Below is a list of unused Jokers 151-157 and what we know about them.
A big reason I’m making this post is because I don’t see a lot of this info on the wiki pages or all in one place.
Joker 151 - Chaos Theory (Lumpy Touch art)
This is a well documented unused joker. The art for it was made by Lumpy Touch, the same person who made the art for Vagabond. He’s the one who gave it the Chaos Theory name. This joker’s effect was never mentioned, and its artwork was found in a beta version’s files.

Joker 152 - Toker Joker (LocalThunk art. 6th joker he ever made. Cut for being so stupid)
On 11/11/2023 in the Balatro discord, LocalThunk said he had a joker named Toker. He said this was the 6th joker he ever created, and it had a 4 in 20 chance to score 420 chips. He cut it because it was so stupid.
Joker 153 - Homework eating Dog (LocalThunk art. Art was lost. Originally one of the 150 jokers)
On July 25th 2024, LocalThunk revealed on X that he “once made a dog wearing a clown hat as one of the original 150 Jokers in Balatro but I forgot to save the pixel art. Was going to be called the ‘Homework eating Dog’
I was so upset I couldn’t bring myself to remake it so I replaced it. Maybe in a future update 🤫”

Joker 154 - Backward Joker (LocalThunk art. Cut from game)
On 4/21/2025 LocalThunk posted on the Balatro discord some “cursed cut art”. One joker he posted was the Backward Joker. He indicated it had a totally different effect and that he straight up cut it out of the game.
Joker 155 - Upside Down Joker (LocalThunk art)
On 12/13/2023 LocalThunk joked on the Balatro discord that he made a high effort joker (which appears to be an upside down Joker).
Jokers 156 and 157 (Undiscovered, likely LocalThunk art, unknown how many more there are, but it’s implied there are at least 2)
On 1/14/2026 LocalThunk posted in the Balatro discord that there are a few more jokers in older versions of the game that the world doesn’t know about yet. He also indicated the artwork is not from Lumpy Touch (Vagabond and Chaos Theory).

New Dragon Quest Monster game. Am I the only one who didn’t know?
A new entry into the dragon quest monsters game is coming out this December. it’s called Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World. I had no idea this was a thing but they announced it back in May. Not sure how the heck I missed this announcement. It looks really fun and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it just like I have all the others in the series. GET HYPED!!!

We know there is one secret joker from an earlier beta version that never made it into the real game. This is joker 151 and is seen in this image. But are there others? Is there really just 1 secret joker out there? How many others are there? What do they do? Will this or others be in future updates?

Is star fox on switch 2 better than star fox 64?
Star fox on switch 2 has updated graphics, dialogue, story telling, and online battles. It gets a metacritic score of 82, whereas star fox 64 gets an 88. So which is truly the better version?
