Its scary and depressing atp

I know there are a million factors involved, like resume quality, the job market, referrals, experience etc. That's not really what I'm asking.

FYI: Im very well aware of what i apply for, what resume i apply with and what jobs i apply to

I'm just curious about this,

I apply almost every day( spending hours literally since 6 months). I search LinkedIn, Indeed, company career pages, graduate portals, pretty much everything. I tailor my resume for each application.

Most of my friends work part-time, so they only apply occasionally. But somehow we all end up with the same result...barely any calls

Im just so depressed and lost

Can I still Apply

I'm currently in interview process completing technical and hiring manager round but haven't heard back since 16 days.

I saw a relevant job posting on their website. can I still apply to this role ? i'm afraid the previous one was a rejection and they might add me in a cooling period pool soon.

Anyone in the early-career tech/data space mind sharing where they’re actually finding jobs these days?

I’ve been applying for about 6 months through LinkedIn, Indeed, IrishJobs, and company career portals, but I’m curious if there are other websites, communities, recruiter platforms, or places people are using that I’m completely missing. For those who recently landed roles in data, analytics, AI/ML, business analysis, or similar fields, where did you actually find the job that worked out? I’m trying to figure out whether I’m searching in the wrong places or if the market is just this competitive right now.

I fumbled my hiring manager round after acing the technical interview. How would you read this?

I had a hiring manager interview today for a role I really wanted, and I can’t stop replaying it in my head.

I cleared the first technical interview really well and came into this round feeling prepared. I spent weeks getting ready for it and cared a lot about this opportunity.

But the moment the interview started, I got nervous and feel like I fumbled way more than I expected. I answered every question, but not in the way I had prepared in my head. I paused a lot, lost my train of thought a few times, and walked out feeling like I didn’t present myself at my best at all.

What’s making me overthink even more is that the interviewer was very hard to read. After many of my answers he mostly just said things like “yeah, I get it” and moved on. There weren’t many reactions, which made it difficult to know whether my answers were landing or not.

At the end, he said he still needed to review the feedback from my earlier interview and would discuss with the team before getting back to me. He also mentioned there might be another conversation with another team.

Now I genuinely can’t tell whether:

  • I did much worse than I think
  • I did okay but I’m being overly critical
  • or they’re undecided

Has anyone else left a hiring manager interview feeling like they completely fumbled it… and still got good news after?

Would really appreciate honest opinions because my brain has been spiraling since I walked out.
