To recap what’s happened this weekend:
- Detainees in Delaney Hall concentration camp in NJ launched a hunger strike led by Martin Soto
- On Sunday night, ICE tried to transfer Soto out of Delaney but hundreds of community members gathered to successfully block his transfer.
- On Memorial Day, Governor Mikie Sherrill and several other elected officials went to Delaney and were denied entry.
- ICE assaulted protestors, brought out a tank, and tear-gassed people, including sitting Senator Andy Kim.
