A year in Linux and I want to dabble in ricing for the first time

Ive been using Fedora Workstation for over a year and feel totally comfortable with it. I'm ready to branch out into window managers and settled on MangoWM. I’ve already set up a minimal Fedora install via the Everything ISO and installed MangoWM along with its recommended dependencies.

What are the next steps to get started?

V-Shell let me replace 4 of my extensions

Just found out that V-Shell is a great alternative to a lot of the extensions I was using. I managed to drop four of them:

  • Blur My Shell: I realized I only had BMS to blur the overview and the panel. V-Shell already does this by blurring the overview and app grid.
  • Alphabetical App Grid: V-shell has a built-in option to organize the app grid alphabetically.
  • Just Perfection: I only used it for the Window Attention Handler toggle, and V-shell has that too.
  • Hot Edge: If you don't use dash-to-dock, V-shell lets you move the hot edge to the bottom of the screen to open the overview.

Definitely worth checking out if you're trying to trim down your extension list.
