Sections of screen turning black when two windows are open - any ideas how to fix this?

Hello, been dealing with a very obnoxious glitch with my computer the past few days and would appreciate some help if someone has any ideas.

This error only occurs when I have two windows open and am playing a video in one of them. I have to move the mouse around and click for the screen to go back to normal. I'm also using Microsoft Edge at the moment.

First image is showing the glitch, second image is how it should look.

Running Windows 11 Pro build 26200.8655 on an MSI GS75 Stealth 95F with 32G Ram and intel i9 processor.

Things I've already tried:
- Refreshing monitor display (Windows Key + Ctrl + Shift + B)
- Changed refresh rate to 60 hz (from 144 hz)
- Turned off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling
- Turned off HDR video streaming
- Updated graphics card drivers from Device Manager
- Downloaded the NVIDIA app and downloaded new graphics card drivers
- Restarted the computer multiple times
- Turned off 'Snap Windows' under the 'Multitasking' menu in Settings

Possibly relevant information: Last week my laptop had a glitch occur where I couldn't login and I had to enable a secret administrator to gain access. Before I did this I did a reset of the OS (but kept the personal files). My guess is there was an update that caused this issue and the prior issue for whatever reason.

No CPU or memory spikes.

Thank you!!!

Question about deploying static sites and the cost on App Platform vs Droplets

Hello there,

I am hosting an instance of Directus CMS on App Platform that will serve as a GUI for my web clients to edit the content of their sites.

I plan to deploy the static sites on App Platform as well, but am confused and would appreciate if someone can clarify the pricing structure.

If I understand correctly, the first three static sites deployed are free, but after that it costs... $3 a month for each? Isn't that a bit expensive when they're so many other options that are nearly free for static sites?

Would it be possible to deploy the static sites in the same app as my Directus instance? And would those static sites be billed under the resources used for that specific app?

Or, should I just use Coolify to manage deployments of the static sites on a Droplet?

I would love to learn what people have to say about this.

Thank you!

How do I include the CA Certificate value in Environment Variables in App Platform?

Hello,

I am running into a wall right now and could use some help! This might be a dumb question, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to add my CA cert to my environment variables.

What I'm doing is hosting a Directus instance on Digital Ocean App Platform with a managed Postgres database and this requires me to include a DB_SSL__CA environment variable. I see where the CA certificate is for my managed database, I see how to download it, I see the documents that say to include the file path... but I don't understand how to include the file path? When hosting a Directus instance I'm not attaching any files to the project except a GitHub repository that contains a Docker file.

Could a kind soul please explain to me how I'm supposed to do this? It's mandatory for hosting a Directus instance and of course I want ssl mode to be required.

Thank you SO MUCH.

For basic client websites, how do you configure the URL/login details for clients to access the Data Studio to update/add content to their site? [further context in post - please read]

Hello, I apologize if this is a dumb question. I'm not sure exactly how to Google this and I can't find a straightforward answer in the docs.

I understand that you can: 1) Invite users to your Directus instance and 2) modify Roles and Permissions to give said user custom roles, access and privileges to add/update/read/delete content.

My question is: Let's say that I create a basic five page portfolio website for a client using Directus as a CMS and I successfully deploy this website online. For further context let's say that I'm self hosting this website on a VPN.

If I invite the client via the Data Studio GUI to be a user, are they given a special URL where they can access the Data Studio in the browser? Or do they have to self host the Directus instance on their computer? (I'm hoping this isn't the case). And how would I configure or make a custom URL for them to access the Data Studio?

If the website hasn't been deployed yet, and the Directus instance is running on Docker on my local machine, would the client still be able to access the Data Studio associated with their website to update/otherwise edit content?

I very much appreciate any insight into this as I'm new to using this tool, but want to learn.

Thanks!
