Lio (Lee-oh) would be more meaningful for my husband and his family. His paternal grandfather was Lionel, and maternal grandfather was Lee. So Lio would be an homage to both of them. I've just never seen Lio spelled with an 'i' in a traditional English spelling. (I speak Spanish so I have no qualms myself with that pronunciation!)

I guess my concern would be that he would go through his life with people saying (lie-oh) ...

Thoughts?
