Credit Problems and Schedule Issues Help pls

Hello everybody, I'm a rising freshman at CUNY, and I'm stressed about how my classes will affect my transfer process.

If you aren't aware, freshmen at CUNY do not choose their own classes and are instead given to u for the first semester, and I was put into a pretty busy schedule with only one math/business class (Pre-Calc). I was put into this class after taking the Placement test even though I took AB Calc my senior year of high school.
My main goal is to transfer to Lehigh for economics my sophomore year, and I would not meet the pre requisite requirements if I only take Pre-Calc.
Is there anything I can do at this point? Should I just switch my major even?

Somebody help me pls

math placement exam

Does anybody have any insight into the math placement exam? I really want to take calculus in my fall semester but I think it is implied I have to take summer classes just to place into pre calc? I took ab calc in hs and despite most likely getting below a 3 on the ap exam want to be exempt from this summer class.

People who have taken this exam, what kind of questions were on it, and how high did you have to score to take calculus? Somebody pls help

Advice/reality check for potential transfer student plz

I know there's a million posts like this, but yeah. I'm a low income high school senior from nyc. I didn't really excel much in classes and was a very unmotivated, directionless student. I got pretty good grades in my freshman and senior years, but had few D's in my junior and sophomore years, leaving me with a final cumulative GPA of 90/100 (I think around a 3.5 ish on a 4.0 scale) and 1200 SAT

This is all to say that I regret how I went about my initial college application with rec letters from teachers I barely knew, lazy last minute essays, and overall week EC's.

I didn't end up getting into Lehigh or Lafayette, which were both my top choices. This was kind of expected but still hurt as I really wanted to leave the city and felt like I didn't give the application my all.

So my plan was to attend my local CUNY, which would be completely free as a nyc resident, and try to transfer out after one year, maybe even apply to a wider range of LAC and competitive schools. I really dont want to stay at this commuter school but thought it was the most logical decision. I had already committed when I started to second guess this decision when I got off the waitlist for Brandeis.

I didn't really consider it at first, especially considering that I come from a very low income family and was planning to transfer to my dream school, but as I did more research, most of these schools only get more competitive as a transfer and are also need aware which is very discouraging. Brandeis would cost 10k but I wouldn’t want to burden my family with the cost of a school that I don’t know much about and would have to choose at the last minute.

Any advice would be very helpful 🙏
