Anyone else emotional seeing all of the fall & Halloween decor popping up in stores? It’s a constant reminder that our babies are turning one so very soon! I can’t believe just how fast this year has flown by.
Granted, my baby is a late October baby (due 10/29 but had a medically necessary induction about a week earlier), but I’m starting to get nervous that he’s not crawling yet.
I feel like he’s been slowly making progress, but he’s still a bit far from what I feel like would be crawling soon. He’s just started to get up on his hands and knees on his own, but does it sparingly. He can hold the position when he’s placed there or when he gets there on his own and rocks sometimes, but has never seemed to want to take a “step.”
We do plenty of kneeling practice, he sits independently without any time limitations, he is very mobile otherwise - rolls both ways easily, scoots on his belly, pushes backwards, etc.
I guess I’m just wondering what else I can do to help him along. I always figured he’d do it on his own without needing to be “taught,” but a family member sent me a post about the consequences of when babies never crawl but go straight to walking, and now I’m nervous lol.
