Not crawling or waving?

Anyone else’s October baby not crawling or waving or clapping? My pediatrician said not to be concerned yet. We work with him daily. He gets plenty of floor time. He will army crawl all over the place. He’s attempting to pull to stand. He just acts like he forgets he has legs and can’t control them. He’s a bigger boy so wondering if that’s playing into things. Just hard to not worry!!

Bye bye !!👋

I’ve got to celebrate. My baby (9m) opened and closed her hand today while also saying bye bye. (Multiple times) after hanging up a call with grandma. I cried. Such a beautiful thing to see her talk. She is my second, my first (5yrs) has a communicative disorder that causes a major struggle with speech. It’s been a stressor watching out for any speech and communication issues. But this was a major hit of dopamine for me, the stress just melts away. Love it when they hit a milestone.

Separation anxiety

My little guy is almost 10 months old and is just starting to get separation anxiety. I know this is developmentally normal for his age but I'm so sad every time he starts crying when I leave. Is there a way to make this easier for him?

Fall/Halloween decor in stores…

Anyone else emotional seeing all of the fall & Halloween decor popping up in stores? It’s a constant reminder that our babies are turning one so very soon! I can’t believe just how fast this year has flown by.

Is he not eating enough during the day?

My 10mo waking every 3h for 4oz bottle. People tell me my baby wakes at night because I underfeed him, but I follow his cues! He has formula + 2 solid meals full bowls (Lunch & Dinner, no breakfast/snacks). Overnight, he wakes every 3 hours like clockwork and downs 4 oz every time (12–16 oz total).

Is he actually underfed during the day, or is this just reverse cycling?

How do I safely cut back these night bottles so he eats more by day? I’m exhausted!

Purées to More solid food?

How are we transitioning from the purées to more solid food? I tried to give my 9 month old some yogurt melts and the puffs that dissolve in their mouths and he just gagged. Tips?

Very quite 7 month old

Does anyone else have a baby who turns or looks when their name is called, but doesn’t show much emotion afterward, like smiling or laughing?
My baby is 7.5 months old and responds to her name about 80% of the time when she isn’t focused on something else. However, she rarely smiles or laughs, even when I talk to her excitedly or try to make her smile. She’s also been a very quiet baby since birth and doesn’t vocalize much. Even my sister-in-law has noticed that she seems much quieter compared to other babies her age.
I’ve also noticed that she seems to have a really high pain tolerance. One time, I accidentally hit her head pretty hard on the sink, and I felt terrible, but she didn’t cry. When she bumps her own head, she usually doesn’t cry either.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that she doesn’t seem very bothered when I leave or come back into the room. When I leave for work and come home, she doesn’t really seem excited to see me or act like she missed me. She’s also not afraid of strangers and will usually go to anyone who wants to hold her. She doesn’t seem bothered by loud music or loud noises either.
She does have good eye contact and will sometimes smile or laugh, but it feels less frequent than what I see with other babies her age.
I’m not trying to diagnose anything—I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a very quiet baby with similar behaviors around 7–8 months. Did your baby eventually become more expressive and vocal? I’d really appreciate hearing other parents’ experiences.

Teething 🫩

My newly 10mo daughter is getting 2 new teeth at once, one on each side of the bottom front pair. I swear the top 2 are wanting to break through too. Anyway, I’m TIRED. This is the worst she’s ever slept. That’s all. 🫩😭

Transition from crib to… double bed?

Honestly just looking to see what people think or if they have down this previously and can share their experience.
Little man is currently 10 months and sleeps in a crib in his own room, adjacent to our room, as he has done since 6 months without issue.
We are in the process of moving houses and the new house will have 3 double bedrooms, one more than we currently have. The seller is selling us furniture they don’t need at a very reasonable price as they’re downsizing, to my house!
So when we move in the next couple of weeks there will already be a double bed (low ottoman) in bedroom 2. We (parents) will take the master bed but bedroom 2 actually has more usable space due to it being rectangular.
The plan is to keep little man in his crib until around 2 1/2 years old in bedroom 3, adjacent to our room, when touch wood we will have to kick him out of the crib and room to make room for his 6 month old sibling.
So my question is, am I crazy to think I can put a 2 year old in a double bed straight from the crib? We plan on installing a bed rail. I also plan on sleeping with him on occasion as to not wake my husband up if younger sibling wakes in the night and needs me, as little man would sleep through a full on rave.
