a wee bit of library nostalgia

I made this print cause I used to love looking at all the return dates stamped in the front of library books. Used to imagine all the people who had borrowed the book before me, and searched for specific dates like my birthday or my friends birthdays. I know I can't have been the only one!

“Granny’s Shopping List, Nov 1964”, 3 colour riso

“Granny’s Shopping List, Nov 1964”, A3 3 colour risograph on Cairn 100gsm recycled paper, using Sunflower Yellow, Medium Blue and Black. Printed in Pagemasters, London. I am normally based out of Derry Print Workshop in Ireland, where I riso print my own stuff, but I was over in London to visit a friend so decided to get some riso R&D in while I was at it. It was an absolute pleasure working with the Pagemasters guys, from start to finish.

This print is inspired by my Granny's receipt from a grocery shop that she did in November 1964. We found the original a few years ago and I always wanted to make something inspired by it, as I absolutely love ephemera.
