Just finished my first pickup swap (on my own) on this 2011 Goth. I put A GFS MEAN 90 in the neck and a GFS DREAM 90 in the bridge. I've been wanting a solid body w/ P90s for a while, so I bought the guitar(still had cellophane on the pickguard) for $200, and I have less than $80 in the pickups. I swapped the black Grovers on it with a Indigo Widow(chrome grovers) I bought a few months ago(widow looks exponentially cooler with the black tuning machines). I did buy some mini black buttons on the low for the Goth. I'm happy with the look, now I'm gonna string it and keep my fingers crossed...

Hey, so I'm not brand new to having a guitar in my hands, but, I'm obviously asking you guys for advice, so I admitting ignorance. Anyhow, I bought this guy last week. I play and write punk/hardcore, although it ranges a little further than that sounds(Think Misfits[especially Earth A.D. era] to Alkaline Trio to Face to Face). I was looking to find a humbucker sized P90. I've done my research enough to know that I like the idea of that sound running through what I'm using through the other end of the cable. I also have the epiphone les goth pictured. My plan is to take the probuckers from the custom, drop them in the goth, and insert P90s into the custom. Again, ive read a good bit of opinions, and I was actually gonna go with a guitar fetish set(either mean or dream). I figured that way, if I found out that I didn't actually like the sound I envisioned, I wouldn't be out as much as if I bought, say, SD PC's..anyhow(sorry for going around the world to cross the street with this, but, details are important...) here are my questions...

1. Guitar Fetish opinions are seemingly positive enough for me to validate spending only around $75 for a set. At least enough for a trial. However, they only have the Dream Bridge and the Mean Neck in stock. Would this combination be something that would absolutely not make sense??

2. I do have a budget ceiling. Would I be better off with something in the 200-300 range or should I wait either on a restock for GF, or, save enough to get something more expensive? If so, any recommendations?

3. Lastly, as I mentioned, I'm going to have someone put the stock Probuckers in the Goth. I'm toying with the idea of keeping the hardware "all black", so I've consider covers for them. Is this a bad idea? If not, could someone recommend a good option?
