Where's the poor man's version of Bainbridge Island?

Hey all! My family and I are moving to the Seattle area and have been exploring different parts. We're currently on Bainbridge Island and we really love it here - specifically the density (almost rural but not quite) and the vegetation (not *just* pines but still lots of them).

But obviously the price is a problem.

Open to anywhere within two hours of Seattle. We work remotely.

My question is where can we find similar density and vegetation but be more affordable? Bonus points if it's the type of place we can zoom around on go karts and have neighbors be cool about it.

Edit: removed go kart bit because people were over-indexing on that unnecessary bit. Also added remote work.
