She needs a name!

I've had her for four days, and she still doesn't have a name. Frontrunners are Maple, Marnie, Hazel, Birdie, and Maeve. The shelter called her Pumpkin. Im not a fan of Dottie, Elsie, Betty, Agnes... She's a year old and about 30lbs. Help name her!

Infarct and stroke in day-old baby

Infant was experiencing seizures nonstop and was transferred to a major children's hospital. They performed multiple MRIs, U/S and angiography. This is what they found.

These images are of my daughter's brain.

*********Edit- my daughter is now 5 years old. She did two years in preschool as a peer model for other children with disabilities and delays, and starts kindergarten next week. She has never had any deficits or residual effects. She met all her milestones either on time or advanced- she was speaking in 5 word sentences by age 3, was able to communicate easily with her teachers who were all blown away by her, and became an advocate for her classmates. Some of the other parents have requested to be in the same kindergarten classroom as my girl.

She's smart- her vocabulary is far beyond what it should be, and always has been, she's funny, she's protective and loving of her family and friends, loves dance and soccer and singing, and sees the world as full of rainbows, glitter and unicorns.

This girl defied ALL the odds. We had to watch her resuscitation more than once. It was still during the pandemic and I was terrified she would die without ever meeting her big brother or grandparents or rest of the family. I thought I would be buying her coffin, and we'd be planning her funeral. But God had other plans and made her stubborn and strong and gave us the best doctors and nurses. Forever thankful.

Amy books/workbooks to help out?

My house is awful. It's cluttered and dirty, and it's overwhelming. My kids are 5 and 8, and we can't have friends or family over to visit because of the state of the house.

I work from home full time, and I don't even have a safe, clean place to work. I have to set a good example for my kids- they don't clean up after themselves so every day there's more piling up.

Are there any books or workbooks you'd recommend to someone just starting out? Maybe even something my kids could read?

Dance recital makeup tips?

My 5 year old daughter has a dance recital next weekend. She's not required to wear makeup (most of the dancers, including the ones in her class, will) but I'd like to put a little on her to make her features stand out, without overdoing it. Anyone have good tips or tricks for stage makeup for little girls?

Gifts for preschool

My daughter has attended an absolutely phenomenal preschool for the last two years. It's a hybrid program with 100 students, half are peer models like my daughter, and the other half is children who require therapy and support services. I am constantly being told how wonderful she is with the kids who need extra help, that she is patient and kind and gentle, and the other teachers often request that she visit their classroom to help one of her less communicative classmates. One of her best friends is actually one of the nonverbal kids and they say that she is the only one that the child allows to play with and talk to her. The staff is incredible, and I mean every teacher, para and support staff. Several of them have made it a point to tell me how much they will miss her when she heads to kindergarten in the fall.

So in light of an amazing 2 years, we want to do something nice for them. I am not exactly sure how many staff there are, and not sure of everyone's names, unfortunately (not everyone is on the school website, either).

What's the best way to thank them all for teaching, encouraging, and loving my daughter? I'm not sure that there are even words that can express my thanks to them.
