Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some unfiltered perspective on working for the massive national integrators versus smaller boutique firms or independent paths.

1. Does having a giant company name on your resume actually carry significant weight if your ultimate goal is to pivot into specialized technical roles (like control programming or system design) down the road? Or does your specific project portfolio matter more to employers?
2. In your experience, how realistic is internal mobility at the corporate giants? Do they genuinely fast-track people who show technical aptitude up the ladder, or do people usually get pigeonholed into the specific department they were hired into?

Appreciate any insights from veterans who have been on both sides.

EDIT:

It looks like the icons that are not loading are the ones I am linking from an OTF file via CSS font-face. The CSS file works just fine, and I suspect the issue is that the UCI never actually grabs and installs the font file, it just reads it. When I try to run this UCI via the viewer, it can no longer access the font file.

Hey everyone,

I’m running into a weird issue with Q-SYS UCI Viewer and hoping someone here has seen this before.

I’ve got a UCI design where certain icons (pulled in via CSS) display perfectly when I preview in Designer (emulation mode), but when I load the same UCI in the Viewer, some of those icons just don’t show up at all.

Any ideas?
