am i the only one bothered by the treatment of miwa's insecurities?
i have heard about this manga years ago and i was really excited to start reading it. i'm currently on volume two and i can't say i exactly hate the manga so far but some events have just left a bitter taste in my mouth, the main one being how miwa's insecurities are treated.
i really didn't like the way everyone in the friend group agrees that miwa's a "pain in the ass". it made me so sad reading that. 😭 and i guess it's okay in the end since saeko and her friends say that they like her despite that, but it felt so agressive... especially since they were saying that about miwa being too insecure to have sex with saeko yet.
i was almost fine getting past that even though i was bitter about it, but then the same thing occurred again because miwa didn't know how to deal with straight up sexual harassment. i guess the point here was to show that she needs to learn how to stand up for herself, but i feel like she's the only character who is somehow never met with empathy, not even by her own girlfriend... which is one of the reasons why i struggle to like saeko so far.
so, my question is: have any of you felt the same as i did when you started reading the manga? and if you did, but still pushed through, do saeko and miwa get better at communicating their feelings and empathising with each other?
