Hi all! I am a stamp and postal history collector. I came across this amazing piece from the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake that my AI programs say was written in Welsh. I would love to know what it says exactly (if it is in fact in Welsh). Can anybody help decipher what it says? What message was someone relaying from the wreckage?
Hi all! I’ve seen plenty of sellers listing full, unused perfumes on eBay. My girlfriend just started listing some of her mini travel ones, and eBay pulled 2/3s of her listings due to the shipping of possibly flammable contents. I’ve been selling for years and have no clue how someone people are able to keep their listings of the exact same things my girl is trying to sell. Any ideas on what she could do to keep her listings up? The only thing I could think of is she changes from shipping with USPS to another carrier.
This past weekend, my mom's 30+ years of collecting and study paid off when she won the Grand Award for best stamp exhibit in Portland. She'll be in the APS Champion of Champions next year! Her topic: Cancellations of the Provisional Era in Latvia: 1919-1921.
I know this may go further than "stamp collecting" as many know it, but it's so much fun to show your areas of interest and research in shows!
