Mouldy mat with artist signature - how to fix?

One on my favourite framed pictures has the artist signature on the matboard. However the mat is getting mould at the bottom.

I want to reframe this at home (I’m a beginner hobbyist) - what’s the best way to deal with this?

Hobby artists and crafters - where can I find A1 matboard?

I’m specifically looking for A1 matboard, 4 ply with a whitecore centre in navy blue & ideally other colours. It’s for some hobby framing projects.

I’ve looked at websites of local art shops, checked out Lazada and Shopee too.

There must be some somewhere in Singapore?!
