SSHG fic where Hermione is a Kelpie and the roles are reversed in the epilogue
Hi everyone! I’m hoping to find a specific Severus/Hermione fanfiction I read a few years ago. English isn't my first language, so I might be misremembering some details, but here is what I recall:
Hermione is a Kelpie.
There is a scene where she tells Snape not to come to the sea, but he goes anyway and eventually gets dragged into the water to drown. He accepts his fate without a fight.
The most memorable part is the epilogue: it reveals a cycle where Snape has become the Kelpie in the water, and Hermione is now a human on the shore, essentially reversing their roles.
I also remember a detail about her wearing the same hat and clothes every day, which made her look a bit stuck in time.
