Professional or at home
I did a series of three professional micro needling sessions at a derm office who used a anteage growth factor kit that included products to use after. I did them about 6 weeks apart starting early December. She said all I needed was an update in a year. I’m pretty happy with the results so far. It seems like people here do it on an ongoing basis. I’ve looked at doing it at home but I think I have more money than brains, patience and courage to do it myself. Does it make sense to do more sooner/more frequently? I am not one that has a realistic view of my appearance-the pictures from when I got carried away with do-it-myself tooth whitening are pretty funny how unnaturally white they were. My dentist cut me off on my whitener so I bought it off Amazon.
Thoughts? I had a facial last fall and said my concern was hyperpigmentation and she said I didn’t have any. I’m 63. The aesthetician said I had redness because my skin is thin so redness shows through. She suggested IPL.
Also, my Botox plastic surgeon who could upsell me on resurfacing or a facelift pretty easily said I was fine with Botox and a little filler. I even said I wa concerned around my lips and or lines. So three professionals who easily could have girl me a big upsell said I fine.
Should I just wait and go back in December or find someone else to do it.
I am very good with sunscreen and use pretty good skin care products.
